The Porous-City is a hybrid zone of habitation, production and public space. All functions are mixed horizontally and vertically and are organized in spatial clusters that benefit from common shared infrastructures.
A Space Sharing concept forms the basis for spaces used by several users simultaneously or consecutively. This leads to an overlay of uses and intensified utilization. Synergies become possible and the entire area develops into an incubator for the productive city.
The appearance of the building creates an exceptional spatial experience. Trough the porosity new connections within the urban context are established. The green spaces expand as a landscape over the buildings, two very different faces emerge: a multi-layered natural scenery and a heterogeneous urban side.
